Social welfare has no clear limits, a wide field where the Cuomo Foundation has worked in several areas : asylum for the disabled (Mercy Home in Chennai - India), potable water system (Burkina Faso), breeding of cattle. We can also add the renovation of day nurseries and the acquisition of high technology medical equipment (the Tissue Tek Express).
At the border of social welfare and medical aid, is the care of surgical corrections of congenital physical alienations (clefts, Noma in Niger) and the financial support for the "No Finish Line" to treat the heart defected children in vulnerable situations, coming from developing countries.
