KG Kandigai is a remote and very poor village 100 km North-West of Chennai. The local school is now run by Fr. Rocke Chinnappa of the Archdiocese of Madras-Mylapore. Following the deeply-felt request of the late Archbishop H.G. Arul Das James, Fondation Cuomo in the year 2004 built the one and only hostel for students existing in this area.

Home for boys
Inauguré le 24 Février 2005, le bâtiment s’étend sur 1398 m² et accueille 170 garçons. Comme pour les pensionnats de Kovalam et de Sendivakkam, la Fondation prend entièrement en charge les frais annuels d’entretien des bâtiments ainsi que ceux d'hébergement et de nourriture des pensionnaires.

Home for girls
End 2009 began the construction of the new Home for Girls in K.G Kendigai. It will be finished mid-2010.
